Teaching Activities

Teaching Human Anatomy to students enrolled in Perfusion Techniques programmes, including course coordination since 2022.

Teaching Human Anatomy to students in Midwifery, Orthopaedic Techniques, Podiatry and Dental Hygiene programmes.

Teaching activities within PhD programmes since 2019.

Tutor at the IAPEM Cadaver Lab course in 2024.

Research Activities

Research focused on the macroscopic and functional anatomy of the stomatognathic system.

Morphological evaluation of bone structures and soft tissues through direct patient measurements and radiographic, magnetic resonance and capillaroscopic imaging.

Study of anatomical changes associated with development, atrophy, inflammation, infection and therapeutic interventions.

Investigation of masticatory function, swallowing, occlusal stability and neuromuscular coordination through electromyographic analysis of the supra- and submandibular muscles.

Academic and Organisational Activities

Scientific Coordinator of the project Stai Sano! Obiettivo 100 anni at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Milan.

Former departmental representative on the University Researchers’ Council.

Third Mission Representative for the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Sciences.

Former Member of the Quality Assurance Group for the department’s scientific production.

Editorial and Reviewing Activities

Reviewer and consultant editor for scientific journals including Bioengineering, BMC Oral Health, Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, Nanomedicine and The International Journal of Artificial Organs.

Guest Editor of the special issue Personalized Periodontics: From Basic Research to Clinical Activity in Medicina.

Additional Training

Completed a Faculty Development course for university teaching in 2022.

Completed a Master’s programme in European Project Design in 2015.

Participated in an orofacial anatomical dissection course at the ICLO Teaching and Research Centre in 2015.
