On Monday, 28 September 2026, MediCampus Europeo (MCE), Faculty of Medicine in Malta, will welcome students back to campus for the beginning of the 2026/2027 academic year.
For MCE, the start of a new academic year is more than a date on the calendar. It marks another important step in the growth of our Faculty and, above all, the beginning of an exciting journey for a new class of future doctors.
We are delighted to welcome our new medical students to Malta and to see returning students continue their studies as our international academic community grows.
For the students joining MCE this September, 28 September will be their first day as medical students and the beginning of a six-year journey towards becoming doctors.
They will join an international community where Medicine is taught entirely in English and students from different countries study together within small academic groups.
During the first years, they will build the scientific foundations of their medical education through subjects including Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry, Histology, Physiology and Biochemistry, alongside laboratory work, practical activities and hands-on learning.
As they progress through the programme, their education will increasingly move towards the clinical dimension of Medicine.
The 2026/2027 academic year also represents an important milestone for MediCampus Europeo.
MCE is a young Faculty of Medicine, and each new academic year brings another stage in its development. Students from previous cohorts are progressing through the programme, while a new generation is now preparing to join them on campus.
With small academic groups, international professors, practical learning opportunities and a growing network of academic and clinical collaborations across Europe, MCE continues to develop an international environment in which students can grow academically, professionally and personally.
And it is the students themselves who are gradually shaping the history and identity of our Faculty.
Starting medical school means much more than attending the first lecture.
It means meeting the people who will share the next six years with you, discovering a new academic environment and taking the first steps towards a profession that requires knowledge, curiosity, responsibility and commitment.
To our returning students, welcome back.
And to the new class beginning this journey on 28 September: welcome to MediCampus Europeo.
A new academic year is about to begin, and we are excited to see our community grow once again.
